All my printed stickers are printed through a professional printing company to ensure the most accurate colour match possible. I aim to get the colours as accurate as I can, however due to the limits of printing, within a printable colour gamut, some variation from the thread colour may occur. For certain thread colours that are unprintable using standard CMYK inks (e.g. neons) the cost of reproducing them accurately with special inks would go beyond what I think is reasonable for my customers to pay, and so I have chosen the closest printable approximation. 

 

With the digital PDF downloads the colours are created using RGB colours for an approximation of the actual thread colour. This is not a perfect match for every thread and the printer/paper you use will impact how these look once printed. Modern printers are very good at converting colours for print, but, as with my printed stickers, there are certain colours that that cannot be reproduced by the standard inks they use.
